MAR Committees

MAR committees are comprised of active members who volunteer their time and expertise to help strengthen the association's events, services and initiatives. Broker Summit Committee Contact: Jodie Cady View Roster	This committee is responsible for developing a one-day educational event focusing on cutting edge and informational topics as well as covering the most current Broker issues.
Convention & Expo Task Force Contacts: Kathie Feldpausch & Jodie Cady View Roster	This committee is responsible for creating an event that will address key industry issues providing an atmosphere where REALTORS® will enhance selling skills and continue their education in an atmosphere of new and exciting networking opportunities.
Finance Committee Contact: Kathie Feldpausch View Roster	The Finance Committee shall ensure that Association financial resources are properly allocated through preparation of annual budgets to support the Association’s operating plan and review annual financial reviews or audits performed by independent auditors.
Legal Action Committee Contact: Brian Westrin View Roster	Promote among the member Local Associations of MAR an understanding of their rights and duties under the law and to enhance the professional standing of the REALTOR®.
MARST Trustees Contact: Andrea Bates View Roster	The Michigan Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Trust (MARST) administers two scholarship programs, Russel A. Pointer and the Barney Harkins Scholarship and Educational Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate students whose academic major is related to real estate.
MiCAR Committee Contact: Brad Ward View Roster	This committee is committed to the issues involving commercial REALTORS® and the advancement of their role in the real estate industry.
MiCREA Committee Contact: Andrea Bates View Roster	The Michigan Council of Real Estate Appraisers (MiCREA), through the resources of the MAR, represents all licensed real estate appraisers who are MAR members. MiCREA strives to be the leading advocate for the interests of Michigan appraisers in the national and local political arenas, protecting the rights and interests of the appraisal and real estate industries.
Pension Trustees Contact: Bill Martin & Kathie Feldpausch View Roster	This committee provides oversight of the association employee retirement program.
Personnel Committee Contact: Bill Martin View Roster	This committee shall assure the Association’s personnel policies are current, ensure employee evaluations are completed, and conduct a formal performance evaluation for the Chief Executive Officer, annually.
Professional Standards Committee Contact: Jodie Cady View Roster	Responsible for conducting hearings in matters involving alleged ethical misconduct by Association Members or to provide Arbitration facilities as requested.
Public Policy Committee Contact: Brad Ward View Roster	This committee is responsible for reviewing current political issues, legislative bills and making decisions to support or oppose on behalf of the REALTOR® membership.
RPAC Trustees Contacts: Rob Campau, Brad Ward & Theresa Gray View Roster	The goal of the Trustees is to drive an effective REALTOR® Political Action Committee with emphasis on increasing member participation and major contributors.
